Our 2024 Elderflower No Added Sugar Concentrate (also known as elderflower cordial or syrup) is sweetened with grape juice in place of sugar. A little softer and rounder than our original Elderflower Concentrate, with both the elderflower and grape notes blending well for a unique and delicate floral flavour.

Used either for its culinary flavour or health benefits, Ashbolt Elderflower No Added Sugar Concentrate is made from handpicked elderflower blossoms at their peak. Free of additives, artificial flavours or colourings. We're committed to sustainable, organic farming and use only pristine highland water from the Derwent River.

Ingredients: Elderflowers, Fresh Lemons, Grape Juice Concentrate, Apple Cider Vinegar and Water.

How to use Elderflower Concentrate

As a relaxing, healthy tea - bedtime bliss for a good night's sleep, and perfect for sore throats with a slice of lemon, orange or ginger
Mixed with still or sparkling water, ice and a slice of lemon for a refreshing drink (also great with a nip of gin or vodka!)
Delicious in desserts - use neat as a garnish or pureed with dark berries.
Drizzle over ice-cream, plain yoghurt and pancakes.
Add a ‘zing’ to fruit salad or help to plump up dried fruit.
Use in sorbets or jellies
Add a couple of drops of Elderflower Concentrate to Ashbolt Olive Oil for an amazing salad dressing.
Pour a little Concentrate over a salmon for a truly delicious flavour.

No Added Sugar version very good

I have purchased the normal verion of this and other cordials from Ashbolt for serveral years as my Christmas treat. This year I got the no added sugar version and found very little difference to the normal version. Very happy.

I am sure this info is very useful to others to know, so I appreciate you posting it. Our No Added Sugar range is sweetened with grape juice - so it is still sweet. When diluted, both versions have a sugar content of around 2 to 4%, depending on how sweet people like things. I usually add a slice of ginger or lemon - to make it go further as well. and have it as a hot tea, (my favourite way as I am tea drinker more than I am a water drinker!).

Hopefully then, you can purchase at other special times in the year too!.

So glad you like what we do. Our No Added Sugar range comes in Elderflower, Elderberry (both sweetened with grape juice) and our nothing added but cold pressed fresh Sour Cherry Juice).

Hope you get to try some others in the range - they all have different purposes but are all based on plants that have traditionally been used for medicinal purposes. It is just a huge bonus they taste great as well!! (well we think so!).

Have loved the Ashbolt elderflower products since they first began.. this latest version is just as high quality and now even better knowing there is no added sugar! Converted the family (and friends) to drinking elderflower instead of wine.. including most of the guests at my sister's wedding. So much better than being limited to sugar laden soft-drink (or water) as non-wine option at social events (also perfect choice for those that prefer cocktails!). Win-win for people who love great taste and also love their health!!!
